St Augustine Beach - So Much to Enjoy

Do you like quiet beaches?
Do you like beautiful beaches?
Then you'll love St. Augustine Beach, Florida!

Welcome to St. Augustine Beach: Located on Anastasia Island, St. Augustine Beach is, one of the best and most relaxed beaches in Florida. While the college kids crowd to Crescent Beach and others choose to visit the more well-known beaches of Jacksonville and Daytona, St. Augustine Beach just waits to be visited by those who are searching for a calm and stress-free vacation.

Pick a St. Augustine Beach, Florida Hotel: While staying in St. Augustine Beach, you can pick your price and comfort level, when it comes to finding a place to stay. For example:

  • The Hilton Garden Inn is right across the beach and very, very comfortable. While on the pricy side, there are discounts available.
  • The Hampton Inn can be kind of expensive but it's right on the beautiful beach -- a definite plus! Not to mention all the amenities they offer.
  • The Super 8, which is also right on the beach, is great if you're on a budget. Definitely no-frills, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's worth considering.

What if You Get Rained Out?: The weather in Florida is not always sunny on the beach, so if it should rain, several alternate activities are available.

For example, try:Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and Potter's Wax Museum. These are both indoor attractions to enjoy while waiting for the sun to come back out.

Sometimes, even if it's sunny, it's nice to just get away from the beach for awhile. If that is something you need to do, take a break and visit the Alligator Farm and Zoological Park, which is on Anastasia Island. Just be warned -- you really don't want to visit in the heat of the summer, as the farm can have a rather pungent scent in hot weather.

What Else?: If you are interested in the more mysterious side of life, try the St. Augustine ghost tours -- who knows what (or who) you'll encounter!

If you want to step back in time, try the Fountain of Youth attraction, which is full of history, going all the way back to Ponce de Leon. Yes, you can actually drink the water from the Fountain (although no guarantees on the youth part).

If shopping is more your style, how about a trolley or a horse-drawn carriage ride down by the water, and then browse the shops in the historic district? You are likely to find the perfect antique or other treasure to take home.

St. Augustine Beach, Florida is an amazing and fun place to visit, and you can get more information at the St. Augustine Beach Florida guide.

Have a great St. Augustine Beach vacation!
