Antalya: Full of Activities

Besides beaches, Antalya, Turkey possesses a lot of other attractions for the visitors. Scuba diving, sailing, para gliding, rafting, mountain climbing, tracking and many other activities you can perform over here. Visiting Antalya in May is quite interesting—you can swim in the morning and ski in the afternoon in the afternoon at Saklıkent. TUBITAK's observatory is enjoyable in the night. And have fun on the 2500 meter mountain.

Antalya also dates back to Greek and Roman times like other Turkish cities. Many of sights in city endorse the fact of existence of Greek and Roman Empire in the city. Two nicest points at this place are The Kale and the Ottoman citadel. Narrow alleys, old timbered house and stone archways catches the eyes of every tourist. Marina is a fantastic place to have a wonderful stroll in the evening. You can enjoy delicious meal or have drink next to the sea—it’s great!

Being a favorite holiday destination of the tourists, Antalya has a well planned infrastructure. May restaurants, shops and discotheques are spread around the city streets. The old harbor also hosts many open air events and concerts during the summer. You will hardly get bored here. In your day trip you can visit many interesting places in and around Antalya. Aspendos, Perge, Phaselis, Manavgat, Side and Termessos are all within 55 kilometers. Both western and eastern part of Antalya has wonderful sights to visit. Do not ever forget to visit the Manavgat water falls in the city.
