Tuscany Tours - Must See Places In Tuscany Italy

There are so many wonderful, incredible places to visit if you plan on taking a vacation in Italy. But the place I am going to tell you about are a part of the Tuscany tours of Italy. They are some of the most beautiful architecture you will ever come upon. In Tuscany there are the most picturesque and the most exquisite architecture in the world.

In Tuscany alone there are six UNESCO protected sites. What that means is that these places are under the protection of the international World Heritage program. They protect these sites as outstanding culture for everyone. There are only 851 sites throughout the world and 6 of them are right there to see on your Tuscany tours vacation.

Some of the sites that are protected are the centers in Florence, Siena, Penza and San Gimignano. Also are the Val d'Orcia and the square of the Cathedral of Pisa, which is also known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

You can find the Duomo Cathedral in Siena... it is illustrative of the great Italian Romanesque culture. While you are in Florence, you must also see Santa Maria del Flore, another magnificent piece of architecture. Also in Florence is an amazing old bridge, the Ponche Vencho Bridge. This old bridge is held up by stilts, and has shops built along its edge.

In San Gimignano, there is a small town on top of a hill. The walled town is famous for its medieval architecture. Even from miles away, you can see its 14 towers.

The 14 towers have withstood wars, and major disaster and has still kept is beautiful towers as works of art, which you will be able to see on your Tuscany tours. The Val d'Orcia is protected due to its beautiful landscape of rolling hills and quaint villages. This is a must while on your tour.

These cities are protected mainly for their magnificent architecture. Enjoy your Tuscany tours -- take in the sites and savor all the history and beauty that they have to offer.
