Chain your lover eternally with Florence Ponte Vecchio padlocks

Imagine walking along Ponte Vecchio in Florence: if you already had the luck, you probably missed something really weirdthere are plenty of padlocks attached everywhere!

While the padlocks do not appear to lock up or lock in anything practical, there is an important legend at the Ponte Vecchio that has encouraged the appearance of more padlocks, much to the chagrin of Florentine officers.

There is an old story "If you lock a padlock to Ponte Vecchio, and then you throw the key in the waters of the Arno river, your love will be everlasting". A lot of couples reach Ponte Vecchio everyday to comply this ancient ritual.

Even if you don't believe old legends, it's hard to be logic when you find yourself in Ponte Vecchio, probably the most romantic location in Florence. The first man to attach his padlock to the bridge was probably a locksmith who wanted to add some public visibility to his creations. Ponte Vecchio has always been full of merchants, so it's romantic side it's most easily enjoyable when the chic shops of the bridge are closed.

A couple of years ago the government had to release an ordinance to remove most of the padlocks, as they were starting to give Ponte Vecchio a pretty strange and gaudy appearancethe mission was not simple, as the padlocks were multiplying every day of the yearbut you have to agree that the people of Florence should do their best to keep the city's harmonious beauty intact!

Nowadays there's a penalty of 50 euros if a Florentine officer caught you attaching padlocks in the bridgeit's time to have a little courage, I suppose some things are really priceless!
