Destination Spotlight - St Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis, located in the Leeward Islands, is an island nation in the Caribbean and the smallest in the Americas. But Geography aside, all you need to know about this island is it is an exotic paradise.

Gorgeously lush and green the island is widely thought of as one of the most beautiful places on earth and it’s not hard to see why. Here are the top five reasons to visit.

Natural Beauty
St Kitts is a breathtaking sight and its clear Mother Nature has been very kind to this tiny island. Mount Liamuiga is the islands dormant volcano. Surrounded by tropical forests it is hugely popular with tourists and is a must for visitors.

History
St Kitts has a rich history with over 200 heritage sites. It became the first ever British colony in the West Indies in 1624.

Locals
The island is famous for its hospitality. Locals will go out of their way to look after you and make sure your stay is as perfect as your surroundings. The St Kitts lifestyle is contagious and you’ll soon come round to the peaceful way of life on the island. Once you’ve visited this charming island you’ll never want to leave.

Beaches
Of course you can’t visit the Caribbean without visiting a few of its fabulous beaches. And there is a variety to choose from including striking black sand beaches to golden sands and of course beautiful white beaches with sparking blue water.

Music
St Kitts loves a fiesta. There are plenty of festivals and carnivals on the island all of which are an experience not to be missed. The Carnival runs from December 17th through to January 3rd and in the last week of June the St Kitts Music Festival takes place.
