Explore Johannesburg

Located in the center of South Africa, Johannesburg is an extremely well known city. It is not only the only global city of Africa but it is also one among the forty biggest metropolitan cities in the world. Previously, Johannesburg was not a tourist destination but now it has developed as a tourist spot that attracts travelers from all over the world.

There are so many things to see and do in Johannesburg. You can check out the Gold reef City, which is a big amusement park in Johannesburg. If you like going to museums then you can visit Hector Pieterson Museum, Apartheid Museums, the Museum Africa, Johannesburg Art Gallery (art museum), etc.

It is a known fact that Johannesburg had a rocky history but this has never stopped nor discouraged the tourists from coming and exploring the city. In the last few years, quite a handful of tourist attractions have been developed in Johannesburg so as to attract travelers to the city. The Johannesburg Zoo is one of the biggest zoos in the country and you should check it out when you are in the city. You will come across a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cradle of Humankind, just outside Johannesburg. This place claims to have the largest collection of hominid fossils in the world.
