Botswana Tourist Information - Botswana Attractions and African Safari

Botswana is one of the finest travel destinations in the African continent. It is among the best places in the world for exploring wildlife and to take safaris. Okavango Delta region, is the most popular region among the tourists. During the rainy season this region becomes a maze of waterways, islands, and lakes. Moremi Wildlife Refuge in Okavango has a wide variety of wildlife, flora and fauna.

CLIMATE: Summer: November to March. High temperatures average 85-95°F with lows around 65°F. Winter: June to August. Daytime temperatures around 75°F with nighttime lows around 40°F.

ECONOMY OVERVIEW: Botswana has one of the world's highest economic growth rates. Through fiscal discipline and sound management, Botswana has transformed itself from one of the poorest countries in the world to a middle-income country. Diamond mining has fueled much of the expansion. Tourism, financial services, subsistence farming, and cattle raising are other key sectors.
